Brokers

Will it work with
my broker?

Almost certainly. Ordo doesn't connect to brokers one by one — it reads your closed trades through four routes, and between them they cover just about every account there is.

STATUS · 3 AUGUST 2026 — Checkout is open. The Windows and macOS installers are not.

Start here

Three lines, and one of them is you

Two routes bring a closed trade in on their own; the rest of the world exports or types. Find your platform before you read anything else on this page.

MetaTrader 5Automatic

Whoever your broker is. A small expert advisor inside your terminal posts each closed position to Ordo over the loopback address on your own computer. This is the automatic route that needs nothing but your machine, and it is on Local and above.

MetaTrader 4 and cTrader — Cloud and ProAutomatic

Connected through their own APIs — MetaApi for MT4, the cTrader Open API for cTrader. Our servers hold those connections, which is why they start at Cloud and are not in Local. You sign in on their side, so Ordo never sees the password, and the connection is read-only like every other.

Everything else, futures prop accounts includedNot automatic

Export your history and map the columns, or log the trade yourself. Both work on every plan, both work with platforms Ordo has no connection to at all, and neither happens without you.

That is the whole of it today: three platforms connect, everything else comes in by export or by hand. Sixteen more connections are being built and are listed further down — with no dates, because a date we miss is worth less to you than a list you can trust.

The four routes

How a trade gets in

Nothing in Ordo checks the name of your broker. These four are the whole mechanism.

01

Automatic

MetaTrader 5

Closed positions arrive on their own, over your own machine.

A small expert advisor runs inside your MetaTrader 5 terminal and posts each closed position to Ordo over the loopback address on your own computer. Nothing is sent over the internet, Ordo never sees your broker password, and the connection is read-only — it can bring trades in, and it cannot place, change or close anything. If your broker gives you an MT5 login, this is the route you want.

Local and above

02

Manual

CSV export

Any broker that lets you download your history.

Export your trade history from your broker's own reporting screen and drop the file into Ordo. Columns are mapped on screen before anything is imported, so an unfamiliar layout is a matter of pointing at the right column rather than a dead end. This is the fallback that works everywhere, including brokers with no MetaTrader at all.

Every plan

03

Automatic

Broker sync from our servers

Trades reach your journal with Ordo shut.

Connect the broker account once and our servers poll it on a schedule, so a position you close on your phone is waiting in the journal next time you open the app. Credentials are encrypted and readable only by your own account, and this route is read-only too. Your journal, notes and screenshots still never leave your computer.

Cloud and Pro

04

Manual

By hand

The route that never breaks.

Log a trade in a few seconds — direction, size, entry, exit, fees, tags, screenshots and the note you want to remember. Plenty of people who could automate the import still type them in, because the typing is when the thinking happens.

Every plan

Read-only, all four

Ordo cannot place a trade

Not on any route, not with any broker, not by accident. There is no order-routing code in the application at all — the connections exist to bring a finished trade in so you can write about it. Your journal is a record of what you did, and a record that could change what you did would be worth rather less.

Named brokers

Brokers people use with Ordo

These all offer MetaTrader 5, which is the route Ordo reads. The list is a shortcut, not a gate — nothing in Ordo checks who your broker is, so if yours gives you an MT5 login it works whether it's named here or not.

Read the column beside the names: every one of these ten leads with forex. That is not a coincidence — it is who MetaTrader 5 is for. Not one of the ten is a prop firm, and if you are trading a funded futures evaluation, the next section is the one written for you.

Connections

What connects today, and what is being built

Three platforms bring closed trades in on their own. One of them runs on your own machine and is in every plan; the other two are APIs our servers hold, so they start at Cloud. Sixteen more are planned — listed without dates, because a missed date costs you more than a wait you were told about.

All sixteen are API connections, so all sixteen will arrive on Cloud and Pro. Local connects MetaTrader 5 on your own computer and nothing else — by design, since Local has no server in the path.

Until one of those sixteen lands, those accounts reach Ordo the same way any unconnected platform does — export your history and map the columns, or log the trade yourself. That is also the honest answer today for a funded futures evaluation: the CSV route handles it, and it does not handle itself.

Ordo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with any platform named here. Names and trademarks belong to their owners.
